About the Role
As an NC3 Systems Analyst on the Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, you will join the Strategic and Long-Range Communications Group in Lexington, Massachusetts. This full-time, on-site position centers on conceiving and analyzing communications systems that meet the United States Government's most demanding connectivity requirements. You will work at the intersection of systems analysis, RF engineering, and national defense, translating complex mission needs into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original system concepts and analytical techniques that advance assured global communications across ground, sea, air, and space domains.
- Analyze RF communications architectures designed to operate reliably despite adversary interference, jamming, and interception threats.
- Evaluate system performance, trade-offs, and resilience to inform critical design and acquisition decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams and government sponsors to translate strategic requirements into practical engineering approaches.
- Document findings, models, and recommendations to support program objectives and decision-makers.
Qualifications
- A strong foundation in systems analysis, RF communications, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Understanding of multi-domain communications challenges spanning terrestrial, maritime, airborne, and space environments.
- Familiarity with the design and assessment of communications systems intended to function in contested or threat-rich settings.
- Analytical rigor, problem-solving ability, and effective technical communication for collaboration with sponsors and engineering peers.
- Willingness and eligibility to support sensitive US Government national security work on-site in Lexington.
