Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer hauling flatbed freight on regional Midwest routes.
- Properly secure, tarp, and inspect loads in line with safety standards and DOT regulations.
- Complete trips on schedule while maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep equipment road-ready.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and the Decker team.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months of recent tractor-trailer driving experience.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the equipment.
- Willingness to learn flatbed loading and securement; prior flatbed experience is a plus.
- A commitment to safe driving practices and on-time, reliable performance.
- Availability for full-time regional work based in Chatham, Sangamon County.
