Access Supports is hiring a dedicated Enhanced Community Habilitation Worker in Middletown, NY (Orange County) to deliver person-centered skill-building support that helps an individual live a healthy, full, and independent life.

About the Role

As an Enhanced Community Habilitation Worker (CHW) with Access Supports, you will work directly with one individual based in the Sullivan County area, providing hands-on training and everyday supports that build confidence and practical life skills. This is an on-site, in-community position in Middletown, NY — not a remote role — offering a flexible schedule of roughly 15 hours per week at a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Because you will communicate directly with the individual you support, proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized skill-building instruction and habilitation supports tailored to the person's goals.
• Encourage greater independence in daily living, community participation, and personal development.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully using ASL throughout each session.
• Support the individual in their home and surrounding community within the Sullivan County area.
• Document progress and maintain a consistent, dependable presence on a flexible weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.

• Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work approximately 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
