About This Position

We are seeking Youth Residential Care Workers for various rosters in Hume/Shepparton on Yorta Yorta Country. The role is part-time with flexible hours ranging from 46-70 hours per fortnight, offering both fixed-term and ongoing opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people in care
• Support the personal development of residents through structured programs and activities
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address the needs of residents
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 12 months' experience in youth residential care or a related field is preferred, but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Demonstrated capacity for problem-solving and crisis management
• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required
• Eligibility for salary packaging if applicable

Working at Berry Street

Berry Street offers a competitive base salary ranging from $68,000 to $76,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include superannuation contributions, penalty rates for weekend work, and opportunities for professional development.
