Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Complete thorough psychosocial and clinical assessments to identify strengths, risks, and treatment needs of youth residents
• Provide individual, group, and family-oriented therapy sessions tailored to the youth residential program population
• Design, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans that reflect measurable goals and progress
• Offer timely crisis assessment and de-escalation support when residents experience acute emotional distress
• Partner daily with residential staff, educators, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care
• Document sessions, observations, and outcomes accurately and on schedule in accordance with professional standards
• Support discharge planning and aftercare recommendations that promote lasting success outside the residential setting

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license as an LCSW or as a Psychologist
• Demonstrated experience delivering mental health services to children or adolescents, ideally in residential or intensive settings
• Master’s-level or doctoral training appropriate to the LCSW or Psychology license held
• Proficiency with common therapeutic modalities used in youth work such as CBT, trauma-informed care, or motivational approaches
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clinical records and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Capacity to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards while working with vulnerable youth populations
