About the Role
As a Water Utility Technician at our water treatment plant, you'll play an essential part in delivering safe, clean water to our community. This is a hands-on position where you'll work directly with treatment equipment, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain the infrastructure that serves thousands of residents daily.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor water treatment equipment and processes throughout the facility
- Collect and test water samples to verify quality meets safety standards
- Perform preventive maintenance on treatment systems and related mechanical equipment
- Record operational data, test results, and maintenance activities in facility logs
- Respond to equipment issues and assist with repairs and troubleshooting
- Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a secure, compliant facility
- Coordinate with team members to ensure continuous plant operation
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with complex equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints
- Physical capability to lift, bend, and perform manual work regularly
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Reliable attendance and willingness to support 24/7 facility operations
- Willingness to obtain required certifications and licenses
