VP of Design

About the Role

As VP of Design at Gantri, you'll pioneer design leadership in a category-defining company that's revolutionized how products move from concept to customer. This full-time role reports directly to executive leadership and sets the strategic direction for all design initiatives across our platforms, manufacturing capabilities, and customer-facing experiences. You'll work from our San Leandro headquarters to drive innovation in both product design excellence and the digital tools that enable our designer community.

What You'll Do

• Develop and communicate a compelling design vision and strategy that differentiates Gantri in the digital manufacturing space
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing design team, fostering a culture of creativity, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the design quality and user experience of all customer-facing products and platforms
• Collaborate across product, engineering, manufacturing, and brand teams to ensure design excellence at every touchpoint
• Champion sustainable design practices and brand consistency across all Gantri initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic decisions that shape the company's growth and market positioning

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience as a VP of Design, Design Director, or equivalent senior design role at a growth-stage or established company
• Deep expertise in product design, UX/UI, and design systems
• Track record of building and scaling world-class design organizations
• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence business outcomes through design
• Experience working in hardware, manufacturing, or complex product environments strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Passion for design innovation and sustainable practice
