Metropolis is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Initiatives for a full-time position in New York to lead the development and execution of critical business strategies in our rapidly growing organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned executive ready to shape how artificial intelligence transforms real-world experiences at scale.
About the Role
As Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, you will drive the conception, planning, and implementation of key strategic programs advancing our mission to build the Recognition Economy. You will identify growth opportunities, evaluate emerging markets and competitive threats, and accelerate adoption of AI-driven solutions that create seamless member experiences across our platform.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute strategic initiatives that expand Metropolis' market presence and operational advantage
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products, services, and business models
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research aligned with our Recognition Economy vision
- Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and business teams to translate strategy into measurable outcomes
- Identify and build strategic partnerships to accelerate innovation and market penetration
- Track key performance indicators and refine strategic direction based on market data and stakeholder feedback
- Present strategic recommendations and progress to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, business development, or operations at enterprise scale
- Proven track record developing and executing multi-million dollar strategic initiatives
- Understanding of artificial intelligence, technology trends, and real-world applications
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and project management capabilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience in technology, AI, or high-growth industries preferred
- MBA or equivalent advanced business education preferred
