Vice President of Operations

Century Communities is seeking a Vice President of Operations for its Houston, Harris County division. In this full-time leadership role, you'll drive the strategic direction and execution of operations across construction, purchasing, community launches, and customer satisfaction to deliver exceptional results and achieve divisional financial and operational targets.

About This Position

As Vice President of Operations, you'll lead a critical function that directly shapes how the division executes. Reporting to the Division President, you'll oversee the complete operational lifecycle—from construction management and purchasing strategy to warranty administration and community openings. Your decisions will impact project timelines, customer experiences, and the division's profitability. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines strategic planning with active management of key operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the construction function to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery and adherence to quality standards
• Oversee purchasing operations and vendor relationships to optimize costs while maintaining quality and timeliness
• Manage starts strategy and community launch execution to meet divisional growth and revenue targets
• Lead warranty administration and customer care functions to achieve high satisfaction scores and brand reputation
• Develop and monitor operational metrics, identifying improvement opportunities and driving continuous process enhancement
• Collaborate with the Division President and executive team on strategic initiatives and long-term planning

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in operations leadership within construction, homebuilding, or a similarly complex, process-driven industry
• Strong track record managing multiple functional areas simultaneously (construction, supply chain, customer service)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced environments
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution skills and attention to operational detail
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and experience implementing process improvements
• Financial acumen and comfort managing P&L responsibility at the divisional level
