About the Role
This part-time, weekend-focused RN position supports Redcrest Hospice, covering after-hours care on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. As a Hospice After-Hours Registered Nurse, you'll be the steady, reassuring presence patients and their loved ones rely on during evenings and weekends. This is an on-site role based in Indianapolis, Marion County — it is not remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on hospice nursing care to patients during weekend after-hours shifts
- Assess patient needs, manage symptoms, and provide comfort-focused interventions
- Support families with guidance, education, and emotional reassurance throughout the care journey
- Coordinate with the broader hospice team to ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Document care accurately and respond promptly to changing patient conditions
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Indiana
- Availability to work the scheduled Saturday and Sunday shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- A genuine commitment to dignified, patient-centered hospice and post-acute care
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently in the field
