Vice President of Accounting – Remote

Join BluSky Restoration Contractors as Vice President of Accounting in this remote leadership role. We're seeking an accomplished financial executive to lead our accounting function and establish robust capabilities across financial reporting, compliance, and strategic operations nationwide.

About the Role

This is a full-time position directing BluSky's accounting operations across multiple disciplines. You'll develop and oversee accounting processes, internal control frameworks, and financial governance structures that position the company for sustainable growth and successful acquisitions. Your strategic influence will shape how we manage financial reporting, technical accounting, tax strategy, treasury operations, and integration of new ventures.

What You'll Do

• Lead the accounting team and build a high-performing financial function
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and governance aligned with best practices
• Oversee preparation of accurate financial reports for both internal management and external stakeholders
• Direct technical accounting analysis and ensure regulatory compliance
• Develop and execute tax strategies that optimize financial results
• Manage treasury operations and cash flow strategy
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks
• Evaluate acquisition candidates and lead post-acquisition accounting integration
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights that inform business decisions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional background
• Proven experience leading accounting teams and managing financial operations
• Deep expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Advanced knowledge of tax strategy, treasury management, and financial risk assessment
• Demonstrated success with acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Strong technical accounting capabilities and understanding of accounting frameworks
• Strategic mindset with ability to build and implement scalable financial processes
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with cross-functional influence
