About the Role
Join SPECIALIZED RG as a Summer Camp Teacher and spend your summer making a real difference in children's lives. You'll lead engaging programs for campers ages 8–15, combining educational enrichment with recreation and skill-building activities. This full-time position offers the chance to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting memories for the young people in your care.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver engaging educational activities that align with age-appropriate learning goals
- Plan and lead recreational programming that promotes teamwork, creativity, and personal growth
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where all campers feel valued and safe
- Supervise and support children throughout camp activities and ensure their well-being
- Build positive relationships with campers, colleagues, and families
- Adapt activities and instruction to meet diverse needs and interests of your group
- Contribute to a positive camp culture through teamwork and communication with staff
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for education and working with children ages 8–15
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, plan, and deliver activities independently and collaboratively
- Creative thinking and quick problem-solving abilities
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive demeanor under pressure
- First aid and/or CPR certification (or commitment to obtain before hire)
- Prior experience in education, youth development, or camp settings is ideal
