About the Role
You'll be part of a dynamic educational team delivering comprehensive English language instruction at a prestigious Guangzhou high school. This position offers the opportunity to teach multiple levels of English learners through General English, ELA (English Language Arts), and intensive exam preparation courses. Students will benefit from your expertise in building communication skills and preparing them for international English proficiency examinations.
What You'll Do
- Teach 15 classes weekly, with each class session lasting 45 minutes for a total of approximately 8 hours of instruction per day
- Develop and teach curriculum content spanning General English, English Language Arts, IELTS preparation, and TOEFL preparation
- Create engaging, effective lesson plans and learning materials appropriate for high school students
- Monitor student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Work collaboratively with fellow faculty to support the school's educational mission and student outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Proven high school teaching experience, preferably in English, ESL, or EAL programs
- Native or fluent English proficiency with excellent communication abilities
- Demonstrated expertise teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) and/or EAL (English as an Additional Language)
- Dedication to student growth and continuous professional improvement
- Openness to relocating to Guangzhou, China for the duration of this assignment
Compensation & Benefits
This full-time position offers an annual salary of 27,000 to 31,000 USD plus comprehensive benefits. Paid vacation includes 3 weeks during the winter period and an additional month of vacation time, ensuring you have meaningful time to explore and recharge during your tenure in Guangzhou.
