What This Role Involves

The position of an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver at U.S. Xpress requires 1-5 months of experience with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Drivers will operate dry van trucks to transport freight across the United States, adhering to strict schedules and routes.

• Drive solo OTR trips averaging 2,000 miles per week
• Earn between $52,000 - $56,000 per year based on experience (approximately $1,500 per week)
• Receive a one-time sign-on bonus of $2,000 upon employment
• Enjoy 100% no-touch freight operations for consistent and planned schedules
• Experience predictable home time with a run schedule of 28 days out, followed by 5 days at home
• Paid vacation is available to drivers who perform well
• Top 20% of OTR drivers earn $1,500 weekly as part of performance bonuses

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Drivers will be responsible for loading and unloading freight at various locations, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of their vehicles, and adhering to all federal regulations related to commercial driving. Regular communication with dispatch is required to ensure timely deliveries.
