RN - PACU Travel Nurse Position at Uniti Med in Newcomb Hall, Charlottesville City
About the Role
Uniti Med is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced travel nurse to fill a RN - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) position. This role will be based at Newcomb Hall in Charlottesville City for a 13-week assignment, starting on August 31, 2026.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage post-anesthesia patients to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Assist with the transfer of patients between different areas within the facility, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for post-anesthesia patients.
- Document all patient interactions and care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- A current RN license is required, valid in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a PACU or similar post-anesthesia setting.
- Strong knowledge of post-operative care and patient recovery processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
