About the Role
This full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist position operates on a standard day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), 40 hours per week. You'll provide essential diagnostic imaging services that directly support patient care and clinical decision-making at a busy healthcare facility in Carlsbad.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and safely administer radiopharmaceutical agents according to established clinical protocols
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and SPECT systems, to produce diagnostic images
- Position patients with precision and provide compassionate care throughout imaging procedures
- Document patient information and imaging results for quality assurance and medical records
- Work collaboratively with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks
What We're Looking For
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification or current eligibility
- Active state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)

- Solid understanding of radiopharmaceutical properties, safety handling, and dosimetry
