The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist for an exciting 14-week assignment based in Arcata, California. As part of our team at AHS Staffing, you will work nights for five days each week, contributing to the healthcare needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures as per established protocols
- Analyze test results and document findings accurately
- Ensure all samples are properly labeled and stored in compliance with safety standards
- Follow up on abnormal test results to ensure appropriate action is taken
- Participate in quality control measures for laboratory procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree or certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Experience working in a medical laboratory setting, preferably with night shifts
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals and patients
