About the Role
As a Travel Labor & Delivery Nurse with Care Team Solutions, you will join a labor and delivery floor in San Diego, providing skilled bedside care to laboring patients and their families. This is a full-time travel position with an ASAP start, structured as a 13-week contract of 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts. The role is a registered nurse (RN) float position within the labor and delivery specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Float within the labor and delivery unit to meet shifting patient needs and staffing demands
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and the broader care team to support safe outcomes
- Document assessments and interventions accurately and maintain compliance with facility protocols
Qualifications
- Active, valid RN licensure appropriate for practice in California
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in the labor and delivery specialty
- Comfort working 12-hour shifts and adapting to a float assignment
- Availability to begin as soon as possible for the full 13-week duration
