What This Role Involves

As a Seasonal Sales Associate at Timberland in San Marcos, you'll be the face of our brand on the sales floor, building customer relationships and driving sales during our busiest shopping periods. This full-time seasonal position offers hands-on retail experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where your product knowledge and interpersonal skills directly impact both customer satisfaction and store performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assess their needs to recommend appropriate Timberland footwear and apparel
• Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, card, and mobile payments
• Maintain product displays, organize inventory, and ensure the sales floor remains clean and inviting
• Answer customer questions about product features, materials, sizing, and care instructions
• Support store operations including receiving shipments, stocking merchandise, and conducting inventory counts
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and deliver consistent service to every customer

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping customers find the right products
• Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and potentially holidays during peak season
• Basic cash handling experience and comfort with point-of-sale technology (training provided)
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to contribute to a positive team atmosphere
• Interest in outdoor footwear and apparel, or eagerness to learn about Timberland's product lines
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move about the sales floor
