About the Role

As a Territory Sales Engineer, you will own and develop a defined sales territory within the automotive aftermarket sector. You'll combine consultative selling with technical depth, guiding customers toward the right adhesive and bonding solutions for their specific applications and manufacturing challenges. This role bridges sales and engineering, requiring both relationship-building acumen and the ability to communicate complex technical benefits clearly.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute territory account plans, targeting new customer acquisition and account expansion within the automotive aftermarket
  • Conduct needs assessments with customers to recommend appropriate adhesive products and bonding technologies
  • Build long-term relationships with purchasing managers, plant engineers, and production leaders
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve application challenges in the field
  • Present product solutions and ROI to decision-makers, responding to customer requirements and competitive pressures
  • Collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to ensure customer success
  • Maintain territory records, forecast pipeline activity, and track sales metrics

What We're Looking For

  • Proven sales experience in B2B industrial or automotive aftermarket environments
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate adhesive chemistry, application methods, and performance specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer application needs
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close sales with multiple stakeholder types
  • Territory management experience, managing your own pipeline and sales activity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to travel throughout your territory for customer meetings and field support
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or related field, or equivalent sales experience
