The Opportunity
Joliet Public Schools District 86 seeks dependable individuals to fill substitute clerical aide positions throughout our district. As a substitute, you'll step in when needed to keep our school offices running smoothly, supporting principals, assistant principals, and office managers in their daily operations. This role offers flexible part-time work with competitive hourly pay of $15.91 per hour and the chance to make a direct impact on student success.
What You'll Do
- Provide clerical and administrative support to school principals, assistant principals, and office personnel
- Maintain and file student records and reports in cumulative folders with accuracy and confidentiality
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Assist with scheduling, data entry, and document preparation
- Support office workflow and special projects as assigned by building administration
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information appropriately
- Reliable attendance and flexible availability to work as a substitute on short notice
