About the Role

As a Mortgage Inspector with NOFS (Northern Ohio Field Services), you will travel to residential properties throughout Jefferson County to verify and document occupancy status. This is a contractor position structured for self-directed professionals who can manage their own schedules and complete assignments accurately without day-to-day supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned residential addresses across Steubenville and the surrounding Jefferson County area to perform on-site mortgage inspections.
• Confirm and record whether each property is occupied, vacant, or in another defined status.
• Capture clear, accurate field notes and supporting documentation for every inspection.
• Plan efficient daily routes and manage assignments independently to meet completion timelines.
• Submit thorough, timely reports that meet quality and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Mortgage Inspector or in a comparable field-inspection role.
• Ability to work autonomously, without direct oversight, while staying organized and dependable.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
• Reliable transportation and familiarity with the Steubenville and Jefferson County area.
• Comfortable performing in-person, on-location work as part of a full-time, contractor-other arrangement.
