About the Role

As a Statistical Analyst A/B with Penn's Department of General Internal Medicine, you will turn complex clinical and population datasets into clear, defensible insights that guide research findings and inform patient-centered care. Based at William Penn Annex East in Philadelphia County, you'll collaborate closely with physicians, principal investigators, and research teams to design analyses and report results that meet the high standards expected of a world-renowned research university.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and manage research datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity prior to analysis.
• Apply appropriate statistical methods to study questions in general internal medicine and related health research.
• Build, document, and maintain analytic code and reproducible workflows.
• Summarize results through tables, figures, and written interpretations for investigators and publications.
• Partner with faculty and research staff to refine study designs and analytic plans.
• Support grant submissions, reports, and manuscripts with sound quantitative evidence.

Qualifications

• Background in statistics, biostatistics, data science, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Working knowledge of statistical software and data-management practices.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and reproducibility in analytic work.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
