Staff Accountant II

Corpay is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join our Finance & Accounting Center of Excellence in Nashville, Davidson County. This is a full-time position where you'll support critical accounting operations and partner across the organization to strengthen financial controls and accuracy.

Position Summary

As a Staff Accountant II with Corpay, you'll play a key role in our Accounting Department, reporting to the Accounting Manager. You'll take ownership of accounting tasks that drive financial integrity and compliance, collaborating with divisional and business partners throughout the company to ensure smooth financial operations and regulatory adherence.

What You'll Do

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes with accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified
• Support the preparation of financial statements and accounting reports for management and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with divisional teams and business units to resolve accounting issues and gather financial information
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to external auditor requests
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, including experience with month-end or year-end close processes
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
