About the Role
As a Sr Pipeline Technician based in Owatonna, Steele County, you will play a hands-on part in the safe, reliable operation of Northern Natural Gas's pipeline system. This is a full-time, on-site position that rewards technical mastery through a Skill-Based Pay program, which recognizes employees for building, demonstrating and sustaining the work skills the role demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, inspect and maintain natural gas pipeline equipment and facilities to keep service safe and dependable.
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues as they arise in the field.
- Follow established safety, environmental and regulatory standards in every task.
- Continuously develop and apply new technical competencies in support of the company's Skill-Based Pay structure.
- Coordinate with team members to support efficient day-to-day pipeline operations in the Owatonna area.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with pipelines, mechanical systems or related field operations.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to acquire, demonstrate and maintain the work skills tied to the Skill-Based Pay program.
- Ability to perform hands-on technical work on site in Owatonna, Steele County, Minnesota.
