This is a full-time position working under general supervision, either independently or as part of a skilled crew, maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our communities.

About the Role

As a Line Mechanic in our Service Department, you'll perform a range of hands-on technical work to install, inspect, repair, and maintain electric distribution and transmission systems. Your work spans overhead and underground facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations across our service territory.

What You'll Do

• Install and maintain electric distribution and transmission lines, both overhead and underground
• Perform utility system installations, including gas pipe installation (non-connection work)
• Execute the core responsibilities of an Electric Service Technician, including diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues
• Operate utility equipment and systems as a Utility Operator when needed
• Handle meter utility duties, ensuring accurate installation and maintenance of metering equipment
• Work safely at heights and in challenging field conditions, following all safety protocols and industry standards
• Work independently or collaboratively with crews, depending on project scope and requirements
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in proper condition

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with electric distribution and transmission systems, or equivalent technical background
• Ability to work under general supervision and manage tasks independently
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to following industry safety standards
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to respond to service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed
• Problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
