About the Role
As an Automotive Technician at Monro's Avon location, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles using industry-standard diagnostic tools and manufacturer specifications. Your technical knowledge and attention to detail directly impact vehicle safety and customer confidence.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, braking systems, and electrical components
- Complete routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, tire rotation, and fluid flushes
- Follow shop procedures, work orders, and manufacturer service bulletins accurately
- Communicate vehicle conditions and repair recommendations clearly with customers
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and comply with shop safety standards
- Stay informed on emerging automotive technology and repair techniques
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar hands-on mechanical role
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under a performance-based pay structure

Compensation
Monro uses a flat-rate, performance-based compensation model that rewards your productivity and expertise. Automotive Technicians earn $25.00 to $40.00 per hour in flat-rate pay, determined by your experience level. You're paid for each eligible task completed, meaning your earnings grow as you work efficiently and take on more assignments. This structure gives you control over your income—the faster and more expertly you work, the more you earn.
