About the Role

This opening is part of the Division of State Parks, Forests and Historic Sites and is open to the general public on a standard 40-hour work week. The posted salary range for this title (O12) is $42,447.94 – $61,198.74.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds, facility, and trail upkeep across New Jersey state park properties
- Assist experienced staff with repairs, equipment care, and general maintenance tasks
- Support wildlife habitat and natural resource stewardship activities
- Help ensure park areas remain safe and accessible for public use
- Learn maintenance techniques and procedures through structured on-the-job training
Qualifications

- Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical, hands-on maintenance duties
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour work week schedule in New Jersey
