About This Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of software that orchestrates our quantum computers. As part of this role, you will work on backend services written primarily in Python and Rust, with occasional frontend components developed using TypeScript/React. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of software and quantum engineers, reporting directly to the Software Engineering Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain core systems that coordinate quantum computing workloads
  • Create interfaces between our quantum computers and hardware control and calibration systems
  • Manage experimental data produced by our systems
  • Support the development of next-generation systems
  • Write software to operate in a Linux environment directly on the quantum computers themselves

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Physics, or related field
  • Proficiency in Python and Rust for backend development
  • Experience with TypeScript/React for frontend development
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and systems programming
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
