The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Shift Leader to join our engineering team at a prestigious Grade A commercial office building in the heart of Canary Wharf's financial district. This role offers a competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum and provides an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work within a modern, high-specification building, delivering first-class services.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth operations of the engineering team during shift periods
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
- Participate in maintenance and repair activities as required
- Handle emergency situations effectively and maintain a high level of customer service
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and systems
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a technically strong engineer with proven experience in shift leadership or similar roles. Key requirements include:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Shift Leader or in a supervisory role within the engineering sector
- Demonstrable knowledge of building systems and operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
