Winchester Equipment Co. is hiring a full-time Service Technician in Linton Hall, Prince William County to maintain and repair Bobcat compact equipment and construction machinery serving Northern Virginia's commercial, residential, and agricultural sectors.
About the Role
As a Service Technician with Bobcat of N. Virginia—a division of Winchester Equipment Co.—you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industry-leading compact equipment and construction machinery. This role combines technical expertise with direct customer interaction, ensuring our rental and sales equipment remains in peak operational condition. You'll work in our Bristow facility while potentially servicing equipment across the greater Northern Virginia region.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues on Bobcat and other construction equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing according to manufacturer specifications
- Execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime for rental and customer equipment
- Document service work, parts usage, and equipment status in tracking systems
- Collaborate with sales and rental teams to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment availability
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OSHA and safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, diesel technician, or equipment service specialist
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical components
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in various positions in a shop and field environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
