Position Summary
The two Senior Project Officer roles within the Strategic Governance, Engagement and Reporting unit of the Victorian Government are designed to work collaboratively across the department and in partnership with Aboriginal stakeholders. These positions aim to promote and deliver lasting Aboriginal wellbeing outcomes while facilitating self-determination for Aboriginal organisations and communities.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with various teams within the Strategic Governance, Engagement and Reporting unit to achieve shared goals.
- Promote and deliver projects that enhance Aboriginal wellbeing and support self-determination initiatives.
- Work closely with Aboriginal stakeholders to ensure culturally appropriate and effective project outcomes.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments and external partners.
What We're Looking For
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in the context of community engagement and development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
