About This Position

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join our team at Churches of Christ. As a key member of the housing support service, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals maintain successful tenancies and fostering stronger communities through safe and secure housing.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist residents with maintenance and repair requests to ensure their homes are safe and habitable.
• Provide ongoing support to tenants, addressing any issues that may arise during their tenancy.
• Develop and implement strategies to prevent evictions and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with local community organizations and government bodies to advocate for the needs of our residents.

Who We're Looking For

• A compassionate individual with a strong commitment to social justice and community development.
• Experience in housing support or related fields is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
