Join JLL as a Construction Senior Project Manager in Sacramento, California, where you'll lead complex commercial construction projects from conception through completion, managing teams, budgets, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring exceptional project delivery.
About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced construction leader ready to direct mid-to-large-scale projects in the Sacramento market. You'll oversee every phase of project execution, from pre-construction planning through final closeout, ensuring quality standards, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction. Your strategic oversight and hands-on leadership will drive success on projects that shape the region's commercial landscape.
Core Duties
- Direct all construction operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, and cost management
- Develop and maintain realistic project timelines and budgets, tracking progress and managing change orders
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure seamless project integration
- Lead and mentor on-site teams and supervise safety compliance, quality assurance, and regulatory adherence
- Conduct site inspections, document project progress, and communicate status updates to stakeholders and clients
- Manage risk mitigation, problem-solving, and issue resolution throughout the construction cycle
- Prepare and present project reports, closeout documentation, and lessons learned for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 8+ years of construction project management experience with demonstrated success on commercial projects
- Proven expertise in budget management, scheduling, and cost control
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing construction teams and subcontractors
- Deep knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Professional certification (PMP, DBIA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office suite
