Senior Legal Recruiter

Lexitas is hiring a Senior Legal Recruiter to lead talent acquisition efforts within our Legal Talent Outsourcing Division in The Gap, Chicago. This is a full-time position supporting a rapidly growing legal services provider specializing in interim staffing, permanent placements, contract outsourcing, and document review solutions for law firms and in-house legal teams.

About the Role

As Senior Legal Recruiter, you'll own the end-to-end recruiting process for legal professionals, from sourcing through placement and onboarding. You'll develop and manage candidate pipelines across multiple practice areas, build lasting relationships with hiring managers and legal teams, and drive placements that match top talent with high-impact opportunities. Your ability to understand complex legal talent needs and identify qualified candidates will be central to expanding our legal staffing operations.

What You'll Do

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for interim staffing, direct hire, and contract positions across various legal specialties
• Develop and maintain relationships with law firm partners and corporate legal departments to understand their talent requirements
• Build and nurture candidate pipelines to support both immediate openings and long-term staffing needs
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including placement coordination, background checking, and onboarding support
• Meet and exceed recruitment targets and performance metrics
• Provide market insights and candidate feedback to internal teams and clients
• Identify new business opportunities within the legal talent market

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in legal staffing or legal services
• Strong understanding of the legal industry, practice areas, and legal talent market
• Proven ability to source candidates using multiple methods and platforms
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Sales acumen and ability to manage client relationships proactively
• Organized, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple placements simultaneously
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment
