Senior HR Business Partner

Join John Sisk and Son as a Senior HR Business Partner based in Walton, Warrington. This full-time role offers the opportunity to drive strategic human resources initiatives across our international construction and engineering operations, supporting our teams as we build the infrastructure and spaces that shape communities throughout the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

About the Role

As Senior HR Business Partner at John Sisk and Son, you will be a strategic advisor to senior leadership and operational teams, translating business objectives into people-focused initiatives that strengthen our organisation. Working within our family-owned group, you'll help create an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture whilst managing key HR programmes and employee relations across our divisions in building, infrastructure, rail, energy, and manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Partner with senior stakeholders to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business priorities
• Lead employee relations activities, handling escalations, conflict resolution, and supporting positive workplace culture
• Develop and implement learning and development programmes to enhance capability across the organisation
• Support recruitment, retention, and succession planning initiatives
• Drive engagement and communication activities to strengthen employee connection and commitment
• Ensure HR compliance and support implementation of policies across sites and teams
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives across Sisk's operations

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior HR generalist or business partner role within a complex, multi-site organisation
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
• Experience in change management and organisational development
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational excellence
• Experience working in construction, engineering, or related industries valued
• Professional HR qualification or equivalent experience
