What This Role Involves

In this role as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of software and controls for advanced R&D equipment and complex machinery. You will work closely with the Software Engineering team to develop high-quality production-ready code for mission-critical real-time systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Collect functional requirements from customers and produce software solutions that meet these requirements.
• Integrate your software into various testbeds, including hardware and software tools, as well as production environments.
• Contribute to the broader software ecosystem by improving tooling and processes used across the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, implementing, and verifying software for embedded systems.
• A background in writing high-quality production-ready code for real-time systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
