Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Verkada. As an Embedded Software Engineer in the access control division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software solutions that support our innovative access control systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop secure, efficient, and reliable embedded software for access control devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components seamlessly.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing of software to identify and resolve defects.
- Document design, implementation, and test procedures for future reference and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Familiarity with microcontroller architecture and peripheral interfacing.
- Experience with Linux or other embedded operating systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
