Senior Director, Global Segment Marketing Manager – Alternatives Managers & Insurance Segment

BNY Mellon is hiring a Senior Director, Global Segment Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market strategy and brand development for the Alternatives Managers and Insurance Segment. This full-time role is based in Bowling Green, Manhattan, and reports to senior leadership within our Corporate Marketing division.

About the Role

As Senior Director of Segment Marketing, you'll own the marketing vision and execution that connects BNY Mellon's institutional solutions to alternative asset managers and insurance firms worldwide. You'll develop and drive integrated marketing campaigns, establish thought leadership, and build strategic relationships that accelerate growth across your segment. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll combine marketing strategy, team management, and direct client engagement to deliver measurable business impact.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and annual business plans for the Alternatives Managers and Insurance segment
• Lead a marketing team and collaborate across product, sales, and operations to align go-to-market initiatives with business objectives
• Create and manage campaign budgets, measure ROI, and optimize marketing spend across digital, content, and event channels
• Build thought leadership through whitepapers, research, webinars, and industry speaking engagements that establish BNY Mellon as a trusted partner
• Identify market trends, competitive positioning, and client needs to inform product and service development conversations
• Oversee brand consistency, messaging architecture, and client communications across all marketing touchpoints
• Serve as an executive-level voice at industry events and in relationship management with key accounts

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a director-level or equivalent role
• Demonstrated expertise in B2B financial services marketing, preferably in asset management, alternatives, or insurance
• Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive revenue or client acquisition
• Strong team leadership skills and experience managing high-performing marketing teams
• Experience managing P&L budgets and demonstrating marketing's contribution to business outcomes
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
