Vice President, Business Technology Liaison

BNY Mellon seeks a Vice President, Business Technology Liaison to join our Pittsburgh, Allegheny County headquarters and help shape how business and technology teams collaborate to drive innovation across our global financial services operations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to influence strategic technology investments that touch nearly 20% of the world's investible assets.

About the Role

As Vice President, Business Technology Liaison, you'll serve as a critical bridge between our business leadership and technology organizations. You'll ensure that technology investments align with business priorities while helping technology teams understand and respond to evolving business needs. Your work will span strategy, governance, and change management as we continue deploying advanced technologies—including artificial intelligence and modern platforms—that create tangible value for our clients and strengthen our competitive position.

What You'll Do

• Partner with business unit leaders to define technology requirements and translate strategic objectives into actionable technology roadmaps
• Oversee alignment between technology initiatives and business unit goals through governance frameworks and regular stakeholder engagement
• Lead cross-functional teams to manage technology adoption, implementation, and change initiatives across the organization
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies—particularly AI and automation—to solve business challenges and improve operational efficiency
• Communicate complex technology concepts and opportunities to non-technical business stakeholders in clear, business-focused language
• Facilitate collaborative problem-solving sessions and decision-making forums involving business and technology leadership

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years of experience in financial services, technology management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior advisory role
• Proven ability to influence across organizational levels and bridge business and technology perspectives
• Strong understanding of financial services technology landscapes, regulatory environments, and digital transformation initiatives
• Demonstrated expertise in program governance, project management, and driving organizational change
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences
• Strategic mindset combined with practical problem-solving capabilities
