The Opportunity
Amazon operates a world-class network of large, technologically advanced fulfillment centers across North America. The North American Operations (NA Ops) Real Estate Team is responsible for strategic development, acquisition, and disposition of all facilities in the Amazon Fulfillment Network. As a Senior Development Manager, you will be a key part of the NA Ops Real Estate Team, serving as a critical link between real estate strategy and execution.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead the development process for new fulfillment center sites in North America
- Manage relationships with local governments, property owners, and other stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies for existing properties that align with Amazon's growth plans
- Oversee due diligence processes for potential acquisitions or dispositions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, and finance to ensure seamless project execution
What You Bring
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate development, acquisition, and disposition for large-scale commercial projects
- Demonstrated success in leading complex real estate transactions from initial site selection to final completion
- Strong understanding of local zoning laws, building codes, and permitting processes
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
