Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of water, wastewater and broader civil infrastructure projects from outline through to construction support
• Produce robust technical drawings, specifications, calculations and reports that meet current UK standards and client requirements
• Coordinate input from multidisciplinary teams, sub-consultants and stakeholders to keep schemes on programme and within scope
• Support site-based activities including progress reviews, design clarifications and quality checks
• Mentor junior engineers while contributing to resource planning and the secure AMP8 workload
• Monitor project risk, compliance and budget performance, escalating issues promptly

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven senior-level experience in civil engineering focused on water infrastructure or related UK projects
• Solid working knowledge of relevant design standards, codes of practice and asset management frameworks such as AMP8
• Ability to manage concurrent workstreams, prepare clear documentation and communicate with clients and partners
• Degree-level qualification in civil engineering or a closely related discipline
• Strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach suited to consultancy-style delivery
• Full driving licence and willingness to attend sites across the region when required
