Civil Engineer (Professional Engineer)- Hybrid

gpac, a well-established and growing engineering firm based in Hendersonville, Washington County, is hiring a Civil Engineer (Professional Engineer) for our local team. This is a full-time opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure and development projects.

What This Role Involves

As a Civil Engineer with Professional Engineer credentials, you'll be central to planning, designing, and managing complex infrastructure and construction projects. Your work will directly shape how our clients' visions become reality, from initial site assessments through final project delivery. You'll collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure every project meets our firm's high standards and exceeds client expectations.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop civil engineering solutions for water systems, transportation, site development, and infrastructure projects
• Conduct field inspections, surveys, and site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and site conditions
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive project documentation using CAD and engineering software
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes
• Review and mentor junior engineering staff on best practices and project execution standards
• Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and advancements in civil engineering

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or active eligibility to obtain one
• Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools
• Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with water, transportation, or site development projects
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and junior staff
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget
