About the Role
We're seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of insurance defense experience to take on a robust and varied caseload. You'll manage matters spanning general liability, premises liability, and transportation defense, gaining broad exposure to the types of claims that drive the insurance defense field. This role allows you to grow your skills in a supportive environment while handling meaningful client work.
What You'll Do
- Represent insured clients and insurance carriers in civil litigation across liability areas
- Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and legal documents in state and federal court
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Participate in discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with courtroom proceedings
- Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
- Review and analyze claim files and supporting documentation
What We're Looking For
- Valid Washington State bar license in good standing
- 2–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with general liability, premises liability, and transportation defense matters
- Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management systems
