HNTB is recruiting a Senior Airport Terminal Planner for our Highland Park, Dallas office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead analytical and spatial planning initiatives for airports across the United States, from master planning through conceptual design.
About the Role
Join the National Aviation Planning and Environmental Practice as a Senior Airport Terminal Planner. You'll direct both analytical and spatial analyses at large- and medium-hub airports, guiding projects from high-level space programming through master planning, advanced planning, and conceptual design phases.
What You'll Do
- Lead analytical and spatial analyses for major and mid-size airport terminals
- Develop space programming and master plans for aviation facilities
- Direct advanced planning and conceptual design for terminal projects
- Collaborate with airport authorities and project stakeholders
- Guide planning teams and mentor junior staff
- Support facility assessments and strategic planning initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in airport planning or terminal master planning
- Demonstrated expertise in analytical and spatial planning methodologies
- Proven success leading complex planning and design projects
- Strong knowledge of airport operations and terminal requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders
- Professional background in planning, architecture, or engineering
- Proficiency with planning software, GIS, and design tools
