Join HNTB's aviation planning and environmental practice as an Entry Level Aviation Planner in Pico Heights, Los Angeles County. We're seeking a talented professional to support the planning and development of major airport projects across the nation.
About the Role
As an Entry Level Aviation Planner, you'll contribute to the full lifecycle of aviation infrastructure projects, from initial assessment through implementation. You'll work alongside experienced professionals on strategic planning initiatives at some of America's largest and most significant airports.
What You'll Do
- Support aviation planning studies and master planning efforts for major airports
- Conduct research and analysis to inform airport capacity, demand, and operational planning
- Assist with environmental and regulatory compliance documentation and review
- Prepare technical memoranda, presentations, and project deliverables
- Coordinate with airport stakeholders, government agencies, and project teams
- Contribute to site assessments and feasibility studies for aviation development initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Strong analytical and communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Genuine interest in aviation, airport operations, and infrastructure planning
- Ability to organize information, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with standard office software and technical tools
- Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning from experienced mentors
