Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck to deliver goods within a local area, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport, conducting pre-trip inspections to check the condition of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including logs of hours of service and trip sheets.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of cargo you will be transporting.
• Demonstrate a clean driving record and pass a background check.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving, preferably in a similar capacity.
• Be able to pass a physical examination and drug screening.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
