Vicars Landing 1 is seeking a Security and Transportation Officer for our Sawgrass, St. Johns County community. This is a part-time role focused on protecting our residents and guests while maintaining the secure, peaceful environment that defines our community.
About the Role
As a Security and Transportation Officer, you'll be the backbone of our safety operations. You'll work to uphold our community standards, respond to resident and guest needs, and ensure everyone who enters our gates feels secure. This position requires a proactive, professional approach to security and a genuine commitment to serving the members and staff of Vicars Landing 1.
What You'll Do
- Perform regular security patrols throughout the community to deter incidents and maintain visibility
- Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and maintaining entry logs
- Respond promptly to resident requests, concerns, and emergency situations
- Enforce community policies and procedures in a professional, respectful manner
- Provide transportation support and assistance to residents as needed
- Document incidents and observations in clear, detailed reports
- Coordinate with the Director of Security and Administration on protocol updates and community concerns
- Maintain professional relationships with residents, guests, and team members
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Prior security, law enforcement, or community service experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Physical capability to perform patrols and respond to incidents
- Commitment to confidentiality and discretion
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
