The Opportunity
Atera is an AI startup dedicated to developing medical artificial intelligence tests for personalized cancer therapy. We are seeking a Scientific Director, Breast Cancer Portfolio, within our Clinical Development department. This role offers the chance to lead evidence generation across a portfolio of breast cancer diagnostic products from early development through post-market management.
Core Duties
- Develop and execute an evidence strategy for in-development and commercially available assays.
- Lead external scientific collaborations and oversee the successful execution of clinical and translational research programs.
- Translate emerging evidence into peer-reviewed publications, product claims, and clinically actionable applications.
- Work closely with Product, Medical, Biostatistics, AI, and Market Access teams to identify evidence gaps, prioritize research investments, and ensure data generation supports regulatory, reimbursement, guideline, and clinical objectives.
