We're hiring a full-time School Age Site Director to lead our Prairie Lane Elementary School site in Somers, Kenosha County. As a member of the Kenosha YMCA team, you'll create a welcoming, secure environment where school-age children engage in meaningful activities, build friendships, and develop life skills during before and after-school hours.
About the Role
The School Age Site Director oversees all daily operations at our Prairie Lane Elementary location, managing staff, coordinating programs, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued. You'll be the driving force behind creating a positive community where kids look forward to coming each day.
What You'll Do
- Direct and supervise school-age care programming and staff at the site
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment aligned with YMCA standards
- Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and school partners
- Manage attendance, scheduling, and day-to-day site operations
- Support staff professional growth and program quality
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for working with school-age children and youth development
- Prior experience directing or managing youth programs or childcare settings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging environments
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus
